Maintenance Engineer**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will perform maintenance on automated machinery, specifically focusing on filling machines and machines that pump food products into various container sizes. You will be responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance duties, working from both work orders and maintenance calls from operators. Your role will involve troubleshooting PLCs and reporting issues to the Automation Engineer, reading blueprints and schematics, and performing necessary machine adjustments. Additionally, you will troubleshoot, repair, and replace pumps, electrical motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and more.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance on automated machinery, including filling machines.
+ Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance on machinery.
+ Execute preventative maintenance duties.
+ Troubleshoot PLCs and communicate issues to Automation Engineer.
+ Read blueprints and schematics for machine operations.
+ Make machine adjustments when necessary.
+ Repair and replace pumps, electrical motors, and gearboxes.
+ Maintain and repair conveyors, sprockets, chains, motors, and pumps.
+ Rebuild cylinders and troubleshoot water and air valves.
+ Cut and thread pipes and replace check valves and basic piping components.
+ Wire motors, troubleshoot electrical systems, and check for shorts and voltage.
+ Work with basic pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
+ Operate with 480-v and 3-phase motors.
+ Handle ladder logic, automation cabinets, switches, proxy switches, sensors, and inputs and outputs.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 2-3 years of industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
+ Experience with 120v-480v and 3-phase systems.
+ Proficiency with hydraulics and pneumatics.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Understanding of maintenance technician practices.
+ Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and HVAC systems.
+ Skills in pneumatics and facilities maintenance.
+ Knowledge of blueprints, schematics, PLC troubleshooting, and industrial maintenance.
