Day Janitor

About the Role:

The Day Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our Campbell Generation site. This position ensures that all designated areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized during daytime hours, contributing to the overall health and safety of employees and visitors. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks, waste disposal, and upkeep of cleaning equipment, ensuring that all facilities meet company standards. By performing these duties diligently, the Day Janitor supports operational efficiency and helps create a positive impression of the organization. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to facility maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a consumer support services or industrial facility environment.
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to cleaning and chemical handling.
• Certification in occupational safety or janitorial best practices.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to management.
• Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety standards to provide a safe environment for all building occupants.
