About the Role:
The Afternoon Janitor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our Campbell location. This position ensures that all designated areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized during the afternoon shift, contributing to the overall health and safety of employees and visitors. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks, waste disposal, and minor maintenance duties to uphold facility standards. By performing these duties diligently, the janitor supports the smooth operation of the consumer support services environment and enhances the workplace experience. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including safe handling procedures.
- Availability to work afternoon shifts as scheduled.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a consumer support services or similar facility environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning and sanitation.
- Certification in workplace safety or cleaning procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report issues and coordinate with team members.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables according to company policies.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and stored properly after each shift.
