Position Summary: Assist patients on the phone and in the office. Coordinate and organize appointments and documentation to facilitate efficiency and accuracy in Infinity Health's business operations and support delivery of quality patient care.

Location: Position will be based in the Osceola Behavioral Health location with travel to other locations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Practices exceptional customer service to all

  2. Supports the mission, vision, and values of Infinity Health

  3. Meets and greets all patients as they enter the facility

  4. Answers all incoming calls to the center, directing the calls to the appropriate party Take messages for those individuals who can't be reached by phone, or if appropriate, send messages through telephone template via EHR

  5. Schedules Medical, Vision, Dental, Substance Use and Behavioral appointments for patients

  6. Verifies or obtains current demographic while making appointments; including ad-dress, phone number, and insurance coverage information (if applicable)

  7. Creates new patient files within our patient record software, as needed

  8. Manually checks in patients for appointments, or assists with check in on kiosks or tablets (where applicable)

  9. Ensures all registration paperwork and consents are up to date

  10. Verifies insurance coverage or offers sliding fee discount program or other financial assistance to all patients; including Medicaid Applications and/or contact information for Outreach & Enrollment specialist

  11. Collects patient payments, and completes daily batch postings of collected payments

  12. Check out patients and reschedule for follow up appointments as needed

  13. Handles cash drawer and maintains record of cash drawer balance daily

  14. Handles petty cash and maintains daily petty cash log (valid in locations with petty cash fund)

  15. Assists with sustaining patient centered medical home status as needed

  16. Participates in quarterly Quality Improvement efforts

  17. Assists with other projects as requested

Qualifications: High school diploma required. Work experience in related field an added plus. At least one year experience in office systems. Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products is required. Experience working in a medical or behavioral center a plus.
