Part Time Janitor

About the Role:

The Part Time Janitor at our Albion site plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and visitors within the Consumer Support Services industry. This position ensures that all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, and common spaces, are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained to support operational efficiency and uphold the company's standards of hygiene. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks, waste disposal, and minor maintenance duties, contributing directly to the overall workplace experience. By performing these duties diligently, the janitor helps prevent health hazards and promotes a positive atmosphere that reflects the company's commitment to quality and care. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently during scheduled hours to meet the facility's cleanliness needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with the ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
• Legal authorization to work at the CE Albion Tool Hub location.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a consumer support services or similar industry environment.
• Familiarity with environmentally friendly cleaning products and sustainable cleaning practices.
• Basic knowledge of minor maintenance and repair tasks.
• Good communication skills to report issues and coordinate with team members effectively.
• Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to accommodate facility needs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including replenishing supplies and ensuring fixtures are in good working order.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any maintenance or supply needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, reporting safety hazards, and ensuring all areas are secure after cleaning.

Physical stamina and manual dexterity are essential for performing cleaning and maintenance tasks efficiently throughout the work shift.
