The Traveling Goat has a rare and unique opportunity to join our kitchen team. We have some of the highest Google/Yelp ratings in Lower Queen Anne, and we are looking for the right person to help us strengthen those numbers in one of the city s most desirable neighborhoods.
We are in search of a team player who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. We seek a hospitality professional who can set, execute and maintain high-quality food and presentation under pressure while supporting a positive team interaction.
We are looking for a dependable team member to join our kitchen crew in abined role. The Traveling Goat is a family run, minority-owned bar/restaurant which Seattleites have routinely named for having some of the best chicken wings and tapas style menu. The right candidate will play a critical part in keeping our operations smooth supporting both sanitation and prep to ensure guests get fast, fresh, and safe food.
This is a part time position to start, but we hope to grow the right candidate into more shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Dishwashing not limited to:
Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools
Maintain cleanliness of dish area, sinks, and floors
Take out trash and recycling as needed
Use amercial dish machine
General maintenance of the building: Restroom, Kitchen area.
Food Prep not limited to:
Assistance with cutting, chopping, and portioning ingredients
Prepare sauces, garnishes, and simple items as directed
Follow proper food safety and storage procedures
Support Tasks
Restock stations with clean equipment and utensils
with end-of-day cleaning and closing duties
Communicate any issues to the kitchen lead or manager
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and spend 6 hours standing/walking
Must be available nights/weekends.
Must be able to provide a Washington Food Handler s Card.
Some experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
The Traveling Goat is located in Lower Queen Anne just a few blocks from the Seattle Center. Parking can be difficult, and the right candidate must have reliable transportation to and from work.
