Job Details Major Food Group is hiring experienced Line Cooks to join our team at Vino - our latest Miami project now open in Coconut Grove! Vino is a new concept from Major Food Group celebrating timeless artisanship and the most coveted wines of Italy complete with a thousand bottle wine cellar. The menu features an extensive selection of handmade pastas, Sicilian pizzas, signature entrees like spicy rigatoni and friend veal chop prepared your way, and fresh gelato served table-side. We are hiring passionate and dedicated individuals to join our growing Miami team! As a valuable addition to our team, you must ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chefs instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
- Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Strong communication skills a must
