Cabot’s first American property, Cabot Citrus Farms, is set across 1,200 acres of pristine natural beauty in the Central-West region of Florida, aptly known as the Nature Coast. Position Overview
Joining Cabot Citrus Farms as the Line Cook, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes that delight our guests. This role requires a strong understanding of cooking techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Line Cook will collaborate closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent food preparation while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation specifications.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients for service.
- Monitor and maintain food quality, ensuring dishes meet taste and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to coordinate food preparation and service during peak hours.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and fostering collaboration.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a culinary position or a culinary arts degree is required.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills.
- A passion for food with exceptional work ethic and dedication.
- Commitment to abide by all occupational health and safety standards.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all Fire Safety Plans and Regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
- Working in a hot, intense kitchen producing a significant volume of food.
- Regular exposure to high temperatures from being outside, ovens, stovetops, and grills, particularly during peak service times.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs ), and perform repetitive motions.
- Strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves and aprons.
