Full-Time - 2-10pm - Monday-Friday & working every 3rd weekend
Summary:
Performs custodial work in patient rooms, offices, halls, dining rooms and other interior public and privates spaces of the facilities, performing the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping staff in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facilities to assure the facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner. Operates commercial vacuums and sweepers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and scrubs floors using industrial vacuum cleaners
Sometimes uses ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and polishes light fixtures.
Washes and replaces blinds.
Moves furniture, boxes, crates and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as furniture, rugs, drapes, walls and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, restrooms, dining areas, etc.
Launders RN bags and certain equipment, supplies including rugs.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Education/Certification
High School Diploma/GED preferred.
Experience
Previous experience with the use of commercial cleaning equipment preferred.
Experience operating floor equipment such as burnishers, scrubbers and extractors preferred.
Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Walks and stands for most of the working day.
Position requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching along with a normal range of hearing and vision. Must be able to negotiate stairs, walkways, driveways, and other environmental objects. May be subject to wet/slippery floors.
Must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 pounds.
Must be free of communicable diseases.
Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as computer, mobile device, phone, copier, scanner, printer, or related items.
Environmental Conditions:
May be called upon to work beyond the normal workday.
Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease, hazardous substances, and risk of physical injury from lifting. Exposure to variable conditions.
Must have good personal hygiene and adhere to corporate dress policy.
