This position is responsible to facilitate food service in a dining room and, bring workstations to working status and the general cleanliness of the dining area. This individual is required to acknowledge all patrons appropriately while assisting with information and/or special requests.
The ability to work well with others and desire to serve people are essential functions of the position. Must be able to work evenings and on the weekends. The shift is 4:00 pm-11:30 pm week days. On the weekend Saturday and Sunday 4:00 pm - 2:00 am.
Key Responsibilities:
oCoordinates with Food & Beverage Director, and Manager regarding assigned duties
oCoordinate with Immediate Supervisor regarding Preferred Hotel Standards
oCoordinate with Host/Hostess for special requests
oCoordinate with Table Attendants to Facilitate Food Service:
oSet tables for correct number of guests (napkins, flatware, plates, salt & pepper shakers, glassware etc.)
oReplenishing supplies for workstations and ensuring that the stations are clean
oCleaning and clearing the tables
oCleaning and emptying trash cans
oGreet guest(s) within 3 minutes of arrival
oAssisting in seating, greeting and providing menus on occasion
oPhysically fit and capable of bending, standing and lifting 50lbs
oOpening and closing side work as stated in the Preferred Standards
oPhysical ability to work various 8-hour workdays standing for their entirety
oOther duties as directed
Minimum Education:
oHigh School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum Experience:
oPrefer 1-year busser/back-of-house experience in a restaurant
oFood Handlers Card certification
Skills/Abilities:
oStrong interpersonal and oral communication skills
oDemonstrates integrity, honesty, and a cooperative attitude
oProfessional appearance and a polite, positive demeanor
oExcellent reasoning and problem-solving abilities
oStrong teamwork skills and a genuine desire to serve people
