Introduction

This position does not work when school is closed\nduring winter break, spring break, and during the summer months.\n\n\nThe salary range reflects\nthe 11-month work schedule. This is a part-time position, therefore the\nsalary range will be prorated to $17,496.00 - $26,784.00.\n

Main Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for dietary department set up for all meals, line preparation, dietary clean up, and documentation of product usage in accordance with prescribed procedures and applicable health and sanitation regulations and standards.\n

POSITION DUTIES

Prepares and sets up\nfood service lines and steam tables and serves food;\n\n\nServes measured\nportions in accordance with portion control instructions;\n\n\nTakes readings of food\ntemperatures on serving lines;\n\n\nCleans and sanitizes\nutensils, dishes, pots, pans, appliances and work areas such as kitchen and\ncafeteria areas;\n\n\nPrepares raw\nvegetables and fruits, beverages, sandwiches, salads and simple desserts;\n\n\nServes food at\nluncheons, conferences and other special events;\n\n\nReceives, weighs,\nstores and inventories commodities and supplies;\n\n\nAssists MSD Cooks with\nfood preparation;\n\n\nMay deliver food carts\nto wards or other serving areas;\n\n\nMay drive food delivery\ntrucks;\n\n\nMay operate cash\nregisters in a cafeteria;\n\n\nPerforms other related\nduties.\n

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be willing to learn American Sign Language.\n

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.\n

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
