Performs work in two or more trade practices associed with occupions such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting.

Plumbing

Makes plumbing repairs th can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, resealing, replacing defective parts or units of utility, supply, and disposal systems, such as dirty traps, sections of broken tile, damaged or broken pipes, leaky faucets, and stopped up drains. Installs wer heers, garbage disposal units, faucets, and sinks.

Carpentry

Measures, cuts, and constructs or repairs wood or wood substitute items such as scaffolds, staging parts, panels, bins, pallets, concrete forms, dry walls, shehing, and roof decking.

Painting

Performs standard coing methods such as brushing, rolling and spraying, by the use of coing merials th are prepared according to specific directions, and by the applicion of coing techniques th ensure surfaces are fuI1y coed, protected, and free from drips and runs.

Additional Responsibilities

Assists staff members by asking questions to determine, verify, and solve problems; resolves problems quickly; and alerts supervisor or proper point of contact for assistance when issues arrive.

Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for sisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Observes required safety, sanition and hazardous waste disposal rules and regulions.

Adheres to safety regulions and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupional illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immedie supervisor.

Drives motor vehicles to transport tools and merials to and from work site using Government owned vehicles.

Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Complete required training certifices, and maintain certificions or credentials required by Federal, Ste, and/or nional accredition institutions used as part of DoD's Child and Youth Programs.

Undergo pre-employment and random drug testing. A positive drug test, or failure to submit for testing, is a basis for removal from this position.

Pass a pre-employment physical, provide evidence of immunizion, be free of all communicable diseases, and obtain approprie immunizion against communicable diseases.

Employment contingent upon proof of educion if not provided time of applicion.

Knowledge in the applicable combinion of trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, and/or painting) sufficient to perform the duties of the position.

Skill in basic mh and reading.

Ability to provide customer service with a high level of professionalism.

Ability to communice effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Non-U.S. citizens with fewer than three years of recent residential history in the U.S. may be determined ineligible for employment.
