Job Summary:
The Snowsports Valet provides Big Mountain Club members and guests with exemplary service for all activities and amenities at the ski resort. The valet will assist with winter equipment storage, ticketing and lesson needs, driving the shuttle, and providing solutions to guest service needs. The valet must always present a clean and organized environment. The Big Mountain Club Office, Locker Room, and valet desk are located just off the boardwalk on the west end of the Morning Eagle condominium in the heart of Whitefish Mountain Resort. The BMC Club Room is located at the east end of Ed & Mully’s.

Job Specifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to speak clearly and communicate thoroughly with members and co-workers over the telephone and in person.
- Ability to provide accurate information on all resort and guest services.
- Ability to function effectively during times of high stress and high business demands, while dealing courteously and effectively with members and staff.
- Deal calmly with member concerns and work quickly toward finding an agreeable solution.
- Must be an advocate of exceptional customer service.
- Printing off snow/weather reports daily for display on the Locker Room bulletin board.
- Clean-cut appearance. Logo shirts will be provided as well as a vest.
- Familiar with updated ski/snowboard gear trends.
- Ski/snowboard tech skills helpful.
- Familiar with WSI concessionaires.
- Always adding the personal touch to our members' snowsports needs.
- Per WSI Vehicle Insurance standards: must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to be added to WSI’s vehicle insurance policy.
Specific Duties:
- Staff the valet desk in the Big Mountain Club Locker Room.
- Tend to beverage preparation (morning coffee and refrigerators), service, and clean up as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the locker room, club room, and bathroom areas throughout the day.
- Store skis/boards/boots for club members.
- Arrange reservations for any/all activities as requested (Snowsports, First Tracks, etc.).
- Coordinate ski/board tune-ups with the ski shop as per guest requests.
- Conduct limited retail sale of Big Mountain Club logo items.
- Conduct sales of lift tickets and lesson vouchers to members and their guests.
- Follow specific daily “snowsports valet” procedures list.
- Listen to members’ needs and accommodate their requests to the best of your ability. If you do not feel comfortable providing certain services, talk to the Club Manager.
- Communicate specific needs and concerns of members to the Club Manager.
- Perform duties in compliance with BMC policies and procedures.
- Keep an updated Excel spreadsheet of members' ski/board/boot storage area.
- Refrain from inviting personal friends or family into any Member Only facilities unless given permission.
- If leaving the valet desk for any reason, ensure proper signage stating contact number for assistance is visible.
- Pass along the daily in/out sheet of members who visited that day to the Club Manager at the end of your shift.
Work Environment:
- Light to moderate physical activity, including bending, stooping, lifting, and climbing stairs on a routine basis.
- Ability to be on one’s feet for an extended period up to 3 to 4 hours.
- Ability to climb stairs to access the workspace.
- Light physical lifting required by handling objects up to 20 pounds infrequently while assisting with set-up on function days.
- Ability to sit at a computer workstation for periods of time up to 1 to 2 hours daily.
- Job may require working weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime during peak demand times.

Safety & Wellness: All team members must be on constant alert for any unsafe conditions and work behaviors. This will involve, but is not limited to, periodic inspections of work and public areas. Follow-up notification will be done to correct the condition or practice at the earliest possible opportunity.
