Job Details Exciting and dynamic new restaurant Jikoni is in search of an experienced Line Cook available to start as soon as possible. We are serving up Kenyan and Nigerian inspired marinated skewers and sides straight out of the Head Chef's NY Times Best Cookbook 2024, AfriCali . Located in Citizen Public Market in downtown Culver, Jikoni , 'kitchen' in Swahili, serves lunch and dinner service Wednesday-SundayDuties & Responsibilities:
- Grilling, Deep frying, and sauteeing skewers and sides to chef's satisfaction
- Refill hot, salad, and garnish stations as needed
- Actively take inventory of food supply and replenish between services
- Cleans and sanitizes work station at end of shift, clean the grill and deep fryer as needed, brings excess food to storage fridges at end of dinner service.
- Handle multiple orders at a time and deliver to expediter promptly
- Assist in prepping food or helping team members when needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive worker with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
- Previous experience as a line cook or relevant work experience
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, or early mornings.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00) plus tips
