Job Summary
The Kitchen Porter collects and washes used dishes, utensils, and cups from the dish and beverage stations, ensuring items are stocked to maintain daily food and beverage service. This role operates a mechanical dishwasher in addition to manually cleaning dishes.
Essential Functions
- Buses and washes used kitchen and great room dishes (items), ensuring consistent availability of clean dishes and cooking equipment.
- Buses and stocks dishes throughout the building to ensure that all stations are stocked and cleaned regularly
- Properly stores clean dishes, glasses, and !!Sweeps and mops floors, quickly responding to broken or spilled items.
- Sorts refuse, disposes of trash, compost, and recycling, and rinses garbage cans.
- Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, safety, and personal hygiene and health standards.
- Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and food storage facilities.
- Report necessary equipment & facility repair and maintenance to kitchen manager.
- Accepts, unloads, and stores food and equipment deliveries, as needed.
- Provides accurate meal descriptions to guests, utilizing continued knowledge of menu as needed.
- Cleans and closes the kitchen and facilities in accordance with standard procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Food Handler's card required
- One (1) year of restaurant experience preferred

- Knowledge of kitchen and food safety.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively with others.
- Ability to multitask multiple projects throughout the shift
- Strong communication skills.

Base Salary: $16.23 - $17.00 hourly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location. Physical Work Environment Service Worker Environment: Employees are generally protected from weather conditions, unless an event takes place outdoors. May experience temperature fluctuations, but rarely be exposed to extreme cold or heat. May occasionally work around hazards such as moving equipment or vehicles, and atmospheric conditions.
