Overview

The Health Club Front Desk Lead plays a key leadership role in ensuring exceptional service and efficient operations at the front desk of the health club. This position is responsible for leading front desk team members, maintaining a welcoming environment, managing daily operations, and assisting with member inquiries, check-ins, and appointments. The Lead serves as the first point of contact for members and guests and ensures a high standard of customer care is consistently delivered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support front desk staff in daily operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service is provided at all times; resolve member concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee scheduling, shift coverage, and timekeeping for the front desk team.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the front desk and lobby area.
  • Handle cash handling, reconciliation, and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of memberships, guest visits, and sales.
  • Assist with membership enrollments, cancellations, freeze requests, and billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance, fitness instructors) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Enforce club rules and regulations to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all members and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guest and member information.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a hospitality, fitness, or wellness environment.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer systems and POS software; prior experience with fitness club software is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.


Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $20.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
