This position is for the concept Matsuyoi, a 10 seat omakase experience located on the second floor of Nami Nori.

DUTIES:
- Provide friendly, gracious, anticipatory and detail-oriented service to create a memorable dining experience
- Prepare the counter for service by setting up tables, service stations, beverage station and other service areas as needed
- Stock and organize all beverages to maintain highest level of cleanliness possible
- Develop and lead staff education on all aspects of beverage program inclusive of wine, sake, beer, and spirits
- Help guests in making selections from the beverage menus, suggest courses and pairings, guide guests through the progressive menu, explain any off-menu dishes, answering all food preparation questions
- Ring in all orders as needed through the POS system
- Check identification of all customers who appear under 30 to verify they are of legal drinking age prior to serving them
- Handle guests special dietary needs, allergies, or special requests with utmost sensitivity, following Company procedure
- Communicate with the kitchen as needed to manage timing of food, any guest feedback, etc.
- Deal with guest complaints by finding a way to get to yes; Involve the Manager on Duty as needed
- Process guest payments in timely, accurate manner
- Process financials on shift-by-shift basis, including submitting accurate cash sales
- Accurately report cash tips and contribute to tip pool as applicable; Record service charge information on sheet, as directed by Management
- Maintain expert knowledge of all menu offerings, including allergens
- Perform opening and closing sidework checklists for all shifts worked
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years as a Server at fine dining restaurant
- Previous experience with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment

Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
