Kaluz is bringing its upscale, vibrant dining experience to Pembroke Pines and we’re looking for Prep Cooks to join our culinary team for the grand opening! If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in precision, organization, and quality, we want to hear from you.
Position Overview: As a Prep Cook, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring ingredients are prepped, labeled, and stored to perfection so our chefs can execute each dish with excellence.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Follow prep lists created by the Kitchen Manager.
Execute recipes accurately using proper ingredients, measurements, and techniques.
Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients while ensuring freshness and food safety.
Label, date, and stock items to ensure an organized and efficient kitchen.
Perform basic cooking tasks such as baking, roasting, and sautéing.
Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation at all times.
Ensure proper storage and rotation of food and supplies.
Comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
Attend department and safety meetings as required.
Support kitchen team with other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous prep or line cook experience preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
High attention to detail and time management.
Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
