Part-Time Host (Downtown Tasting Room)

Join our Downtown Tasting Room team in the heart of Paso Robles. We are hiring a Part-Time Host ! This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and eager to advance their career in the hospitality industry. In this role, you will support the tasting room team in various service tasks and assist with opening and closing duties. Your responsibilities will include quickly and professionally clearing and resetting tables and bars as guests depart. Additionally, you will maintain the appearance of the Tasting Room and its surroundings, and help the Tasting Room staff with tasks such as clearing tables, polishing glasses, and restocking wine and merchandise.

This is a part-time, tipped position. The work schedule is Friday and Saturday from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

• Meets and greets customers; provides an excellent customer experience to uphold Forbes 5-star services/standards and follows all company and safety procedures and policies
• Assists the tasting room with set up, break down, clearing food, wiping down furniture, and other cleaning duties as needed
• Washes dishes and glassware and polishes glasses
• Assists the support staff team with running food to tables as needed
• Ensure trash receptacles are emptied as needed and are sorted and placed in designated areas
• Participates and ensures compliance with all opening and closing duties as determined and published by the Tasting Room Manager
• Keeps up to date on new JUSTIN releases as well as viticulture and winemaking techniques

• Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Previous experience in a tasting room or restaurant setting preferred
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Shows a strong interest in customer service
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations
• Proven success in applying common sense to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
• Strong problem-solving skills involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour, and will be included in the tip pool. Final compensation is dependent upon skills and experience.
