We are looking for an exceptional service team member to help create memorable dining experiences. You will be the face of Kann/Sous l and will be responsible for executing guests' experiences. We use a tip pool system that includes both our Culinary and Service teams, fostering a collaborative and equitable work environment. Service team members are flexible between various Front of House positions in both Kann and Sous l spaces. We are seeking an experienced Bartender or Server who fosters creativity and excels at the service aspect of elevated dining, someone who works well in a team dynamic and understands that excellence is a collaborative effort. Someone who feelsfortablemunicating efficiently with others and is self-aware and self-motivated.

Compensation includes wages and tips. Service team members are responsible for ensuring that their person and the space are prepared to our standards when guests arrive. They must have exceptional menu knowledge in both food and beverage and be prepared to speak in detail about each item offered. They need to move efficiently and act quickly when a situation arises, all while maintaining a polite, professional, and genuinely friendly attitude.

Job Summary

This is a non-exempt full-time position that requires 4 shifts a week and reports to the AGM/GM. Service team members work all FOH positions and are responsible for greeting, seating, running, bussing, and interacting with guests. Applicants with previous service experience are deeply encouraged to understand the daily operations in the Beverage Program. Applicants with previous bartending experience should possess the skills to execute proper steps of service. Exceptional guest service and interaction is critical to the position. A deep understanding of the menu, ingredients, culture and story behind food and beverage is critical. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking beverage and food orders, delivering prepared beverages and food, bussing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean section/station.

Job Responsibilities

* Presents a positive image by having good body language, personal hygiene and professional appearance, follows the dress code

*Provides effectivemunication, is able to give and receive professional feedback

* Attends department meetings and trainings

*Upholds local health/sanitation regulations

* Attends to customers upon entrance

* Presents restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages

*Provides rmendations based on customer preferences

* Explains restaurant concepts and menu

* Collaborates with other staff members in Culinary, Bar and Service departments

* Handlesplaints or problems with a positive attitude

* Presents guest checks and accepts payment

Safety and Cleaning

* Washes hands and wears personal protective equipment whenever necessary

* Safely stores all service ware and ensure cleanliness

* Safely handles food and beverage to avoid any cross-contamination

* Ensures that the station assigned is clean inside, out, top, bottom, under, over, above, around, and below

* Always maintains utmost restaurant cleanliness

* Complies with all sanitation, recycling, andpost procedures and ensures that the teammates are doing the same

* Never walks away from an uanized station

* Ensures restaurant tables, chairs, POS systems, shelves, walls, floors, and drawers are neat, clean, and sanitized

Physical Demands

* Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist and turn, talk, listen, and hear. Consistent fine finger manipulations and repetitive motions with hands and feet

* Occasionally required to stoop and climb ladders or stepstools

* As needed, position requires sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs

* Consistently required to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. Occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance

* Work performed requires medium physical strength

* Consistently required to use near and peripheral vision, in addition to depth perception

Essential Functions*

Schedule Demands

* Required to work weekends and holidays

* Occasionally required to work up to 12 hours

* During busy seasons, time off requests may be amodated on a firste first serve basis
