JOB PURPOSE:

The groundskeeper is responsible for keeping the exterior of the facilities clean and orderly. Cleaning, light gardening, and small touches to ensure the facility looks it best at all times.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Watering planters and other areas as needed.
  • Leaf blowing and pick-up around the premises to ensure debris and landscape materials remain in their proper place.
  • Light weeding in the garden beds.
  • Cleaning up debris around the property ensuring clean, pleasant appearance of the property.
  • Exterior light fixture cleaning and maintenance.
  • Pressure washing areas as needed including patio furniture, driveways, walkways, terraces, etc..
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Adjust and perform minor repairs/painting.
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms.
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cleaning/landscape experience a plus
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds)
