Janitor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for keeping designated areas clean and in orderly condition by performing a variety of cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety protocols, and works well independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors.
• Dust and clean surfaces including desks, counters, machines.
• Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners as needed.
• Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Clean and disinfect common areas such as break rooms, lobbies, hallways and warehouse yard.
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when supplies are low.
• Perform wood assembly department duties.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning agents and equipment correctly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar role is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Good physical condition and strength to handle heavy cleaning tasks.
• Willingness to work evenings, early mornings, or weekends as needed.

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor environments.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling (up to 50 lbs).
• Use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
