Prep Kitchen Assistant Wanted for Two Awesome East Van Cafes

Were looking for a food-loving, detail-oriented human to join our kitchen crew as a Prep Kitchen Assistant. Youll be making sandwiches, prepping ingredients and helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes at two busy East Van cafes. This role will start at 20 hours per week with early morning starts. No evenings, no weekends.

Some things you will be helping with:

Roasting meats
Baking cookies and pot pies
Making salad dressings, condiments, and sandwich fixings
Assembling sandwiches and prepping ingredients for service
Keeping your prep very clean and organized

As your experience with us grows, there will be an Administration component to the role, including:

Accepting and compiling orders from our cafes.
Assembling orders for shipment to our cafes
Managing inventory and placing supplier orders as needed
Assist in developing new menu items

This is primarily an action packed gig, so being self-motivated and able to organize your time is key. NOTE: Youll need to taste everything for qualitymeat, dairy, wheat included.

Ability to read and follow recipes
