You will be at the forefront of our operations, maintaining pricing, stocking, rotation of merchandise and making sure customers have a seamless shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating items, and resolving any customer concerns. Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the meat cases, ensuring an inviting and organized shopping environment. Collaborate with your team to implement effective merchandising strategies. Ensure refrigerated coolers, shelves and all displays are adequately stocked at all times. Wrap, weigh and price meat and related products processed in the department. Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods. Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise. Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation on shelves, removing any expired items. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations. Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe working environment. Embrace new challenges and be a flexible team player, taking on responsibilities as needed. Other duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a grocery retail setting preferred Strong multitasking skills Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical requirements: Continuous hand manipulation including, grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation Reaching above and at shoulder level Standing, walking, bending up to 7 hours per day Frequent lifting and carrying 50 to 75 lbs.
