Pool Attendant and Houseperson

Why this job matters

This role keeps our hotel and guest amenities running clean, smooth, and safe-literally! Whether it's delivering fresh linens, tidying up common areas, or helping out in the pool and fitness center, your care and attention help ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. You're the behind-the-scenes superstar who helps keep our hospitality shining bright.

What you bring to the table

  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Embody the resort's service standards in a way that leaves team members and guests telling their friends all about us.
  • Use friendly, clear communication to respond to guest needs and help teammates feel supported.
  • Keep guest-facing areas like hallways, the pool area, and the fitness center looking sharp, and you jump in when the team needs a hand-whether that means restocking carts, shampooing carpets, or breaking down cardboard.
  • Regularly restock and tidy storage rooms, linen closets, and carts so your team has what they need, when they need it.
  • Enforce pool safety guidelines with a calm, helpful presence and provide guidance on fitness equipment use when needed.
  • You understand that a small gesture-a smile, a warm greeting, a helping hand-can turn an average stay into a memorable one.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

What you're responsible for (and not)

  • You're not in a supervisory role and don't have access to restricted or secure areas without the appropriate escorts (like Security or Gaming Commission staff).

  • You are, however, responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, guest interaction, and safety-and for bringing your best attitude to every shift.

Physical stuff to know

We've included the typical physical parts of the job here. If you need an accommodation to do the work, just let us know-we're here to support you.

  • You'll need to be ready to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Expect to be on your feet a lot-walking, lifting (sometimes up to 50 lbs), bending, and stretching.
  • You'll also need to be able to stay calm and make good choices under pressure.

Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior hotel or housekeeping experience is a plus.
  • Must be at least 15 years old.
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment is a definite bonus.
  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with background checks and drug-free workplace policies.

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is owned by the Coquille Indian Tribe. Team members are eligible for a comprehensive health care benefit, generous time off policy, 401-K retirement with 4% company match and other benefits.
