Zermatt Resort Utah is seeking an experienced individual to fill a Lead Server position at Z's Restaurant. The shift and availability expectation for this role is PM/ Evenings.

Zermatt Resort & Spa offers a unique charm with our Swiss-inspired architecture, where guests can indulge in world-class spa treatments and enjoy exquisite dining options. Our Food and Beverage outlets include Z's Restaurant, The Bakery and the Lobby Lounge in addition to our Banquet Conference Center.
Responsibilities:
- Interact one on one with guests, follow sequence of service while guiding guests through all phases of their experience
- Take orders, inform kitchen of items orderd, serve or deliver food and beverages to resort guests, present check to guest, clear table.
- Memorize and maintain a knowledgeable command of menu items and specialty product offerings as well as Zermatt Resort general information and happenings. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experince.
- Anticipate customers' needs and provide proactive service
- Assist with opening and closing of restaurant or food and Beverage area.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service
- Ensure all food is served according to restaurant standards abd presentation guidelines.
- Set up, clean, tear down workstation, maintain a neat, efficient work area during service. Restock necessary supplies.
- Prepare side work, mixing drinks, cocktails and offering wine service, assist with tasks such as folding napkins, polishing cutlery and refilling condiments
- Provide training, coaching and mentoring for new team members.
- Follow mandatory safe cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- Process payments, handle cash, and operate point of sale (POS) system
- Able to work well with other team members. Be positive and show enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Server is required.
- Previous lead or experience training is desired but not necessary.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to apply for serving positions.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Food Handler Certification - current or able to complete training within the first 30 days.
- Alcohol servers permit - current or able to complete training within the first 30 days
- Knowledge of basic wine and cocktail pairings is a valuable asset for candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent multi-tasking and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure, utilizing effective teamwork and collaboration skills to ensure seamless restaurant operations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays - shifts are currently offered as PM availability and are open to change based on scheduling and resort demand.
- Able to stand, walk, bend for extended periods of time, lift up to 35 pounds.
