Host/Hostess

SUMMARY

Thisis a position that assists the operation in managing the host stand, floorplan, and reservations system, Tock. Maintain all aspects of the Host Stand.This position seats guests in a rotation of sections for servers. The hostscommunication with management, servers assistants and servers about the flow ofservice and what tables are needed is critical.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Will greet and seat guests utilizing the Tockplatform.

2. Will hold the door for guests when entering orexiting whenever possible.

3. Will guide guests to the restrooms whenever askedfor their location.

4. Will maintain status updates of tables on Tockthroughout all services.

5. Will scroll through all upcoming reservations up toa week and add any occasions to the visit note and tag their reservationaccordingly.

6. Will assist with creating and updating serversections.

7. Can create, modify, reschedule and cancelreservations.

8. Knows how to refund a guests Tock Deposit whenneeded.

9. Is fully versed on the Tock Platform and can easilynavigate the necessary functionalities that apply to hosting

10. Knows how to add guests to the walk-in waitlist.

11. Maintains and keeps track of the walk-in waitlist.

12. Reviews the guests notes and the seating diagramfor correctness and efficiency.

13. Makes management and the server aware whenever aCIP, Sunflower or Houseguest is sat.

14. Demonstrates knowledge of table numbers andposition numbers

15. Able to clear/set/reset a table

16. Seats guest in rotation of servers attempting tonot double or triple seat servers whenever possible.

17. Able to take to-go orders when needed and enterthem into ResortSuite

18. Has a strong working knowledge of the property andthe campus and is able to guide guests or give them directions around town.

19. Demonstrates proper phone etiquette

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Excellentcommunication skills

2. Mustbe at least 16 years of age

3. Mustbe well-groomed and well-presented

4. Musthave reliable transportation

Desirable

1. Familiarity withForbes Standards

2. Ability tocommunicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French

3. Certification inalcohol awareness program

4. Certification inCPR

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Must be able tolift 30+ lbs.

3. Frequent oroccasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching,bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbing
