Island Driver/Luggage Handler (Bald Head Island) compensation: TBD employment type: job title: Island Driver/Luggage Handler Bald Head Island Transportation, Inc. is looking for a Regular Full-Time Island Driver/Luggage Handler. Base salary plus good customer service results in good tips. An Island Driver/Luggage Handler has a key role as the first island contact in transporting customers to and from their Island destination. Excellent customer service is a must. Reports to the Shift Supervisor and/or Assistant Transportation Manager. Work schedules include days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and is outdoor work. Graduation from high school or equivalent and, age 21 preferred or 18 and two years of fully licensed driving experience. Training and experience to provide the required driving skills, knowledge and abilities to work with the public. Appropriate North Carolina Driver's License for the weight and type of vehicle operated as required by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Clean driving record and the ability to drive a standard transmission. Must pass pre-employment drug test and be enrolled in random drug testing program. Requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
