REPORTS TO Designated Supervisor and General Manager POSITION SUMMARY The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. They will assist with restocking items, unloading delivery trucks, helping preparation cook stations and clearing and resetting of restaurant tables. SPECIFIC DUTIES Maintain a clean work area, kitchen and restaurant by sweeping and mopping as needed. Operate the dish-washing equipment to ensure that all China, glass and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitation of such is maintained. Place all clean china, glass and silver in its proper storage location using care to minimize breakage. Wash pots, pans and kitchen utensils, following proper procedure for their cleanliness and sanitation, storing them in the proper location. Empty trash containers regularly. Clear, clean and reset tables as needed. Assists with basic food preparation as needed. Maintain cleaning supplies, stock and communicate needs. Regular inspection of washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues. Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality and cleanliness. Be familiar with fire extinguisher locations and know how to operate them in the restaurant/kitchen. Ensures safe handling of chemicals in accordance with department standards and utilizes proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate. EXPECTED RESULTS Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours. Provide clean and safe work environment for guests and staff. Adherence to all KOA, federal, state and local standards and codes. Meet Quality Assurance standards. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Conversant in English language Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills with ability to manage confrontation Strong working knowledge of operational procedures Comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Motivated, goal oriented and results driven Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and move safely over uneven terrain. Able to work inside and outdoors and in various climates.
