OBJECTIVE: Ensure that BBNA's Dillingham facilities are kept to the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation, including planning, supply inventory, and record keeping.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must demonstrate their ability to accomplish the Essential Job Results stated below. Job knowledge / documentation required:

High School Diploma/GED.

Must be committed to detail and the highest standards for maintaining a clean sanitary environment.

Experience with cleaning equipment and cleaning products.

Prefer experience in buildings and grounds custodial/maintenance.

Record of promptness, dependability and quality in performance or work.

Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, and cultures.

Able to do evening and weekend work.

Able to work independently.

Requires background clearance check.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Prefer computer experience.

Essential Physical abilities: Requires walking, handling vacuum cleaners, ability to handle waxing and buffing machines, mopping, bending, standing long hours, lifting to 50lbs, stretching, stopping, climbing, using ladders, and crawling in cramped spaces.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:

Performing the following tasks daily - all buildings:

1. Vacuum all carpets including moving chairs and reaching edges thoroughly.

2. Clean and sanitize all bathroom surfaces, including but not limited to furniture, sinks, toilets, handrails, baby changing tables, floors, mirrors, and walls.

3. Keep paper products full (toilet paper, hand towels, paper toilet seat liners, sanisac liners, and keep extra supplies close at hand.

4. Keep soap dispensers full.

5. Remove all trash and replace bags.

6. Spot check coffee areas and clean as needed.

7. Sanitize all stairway handrails.

8. Mop all floor surfaces where there is no carpet.

Performing the following monthly tasks - all buildings:

1. Check all conference rooms to clean windows and spot clean carpets as needed.

2. Dust and polish all surfaces

3. Dust/Vacuum all heat registers.

4. Clean all building window sills.

5. Move all furniture once a month and clean under it.

6. Clean entrance windows.

Performing the following semi-annually in conjunction with contract services.

All buildings

1. Strip and wax all hard surface floors.

2. Wash all interior and exterior windows.

3. Shampoo carpets in all common areas.

Performing the following annual tasks in conjunction with contract services

All buildings

1. Shampoo all carpeted areas

2. Mop all floored surfaces

Ensure continuous operations, equipment, & supplies

by

Keeping janitor's closet orderly, inventory of supplies well organized and stocked with cleaning and paper supplies, and equipment for each building.

Recommending janitorial supplies and equipment for purchase.

Following BBNA policy for ordering.

Keeping equipment manuals, work, and maintenance records filed in an orderly manner.

Keep MSDS current and updated.

Ensures that all buildings are secure.

Making sure doors are locked, windows closed, coffee pots off, lights off, Heaters unplugged and building is secure before leaving premises.

Notifying police if an unauthorized person is in the building.

Occasionally performing assigned duties on weeknights, weekends, and holidays as requested

Keeps Management Informed

by

Keeping Supervisor informed of building needs and to establish work order priorities.

Meet with Supervisor bi-monthly and as needed.

Monitors and improves program and service quality.

by

Using information gained and feedback regarding facilities to suggest ways to maintain a higher standard of maintenance.

Protect program integrity and client privacy

by

Abiding by BBNA's policies regarding confidential information and keeping any confidential information gained through employment at BBNA confidential during and after this employment.

Contribute to the overall team effort

by

Welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed. Teamwork is essential in accomplishing job duties for all facilities.

WAGE: $34,593 - $48,438 DOE (17.74/hr - 24.84/hr)
