Bartender (Experienced)

The Blue Moon Lounge in Glendale, Ca is looking for a solid bartender to work on his/her own (with little or no help).

Must be able to work different days of the week. Shifts are: 4pm-9:30pm and 9:30pm - 2am, the person we are looking for MUST DO SUNDAY days and TUESDAYS. There are other floater days as well, but these two days are a must.

This is a cocktail bar, I am not looking for a food server or a waitress. You will be making mixed drinks please be experienced. YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR COCKTAILS! NO beginners as this can be very fast paced.

BARTENDER JOB SUMMARY

The bartender is responsible for maintaining the bar area and filling drink orders for bar patrons. This position must have extensive knowledge of liquor mixed drinks, beer, and wine.

Thinking quickly, awareness of surroundings and monitoring patrons for signs that they have had too much alcohol are also skills required to do this position well.

Providing top-notch customer service while maintaining control of the bar, serving drinks and managing the financials require attention to detail and extreme focus.

Make sure everyone has drinks and stay off your phone.

At the end of each shift, the bartender will cash-out the cash drawer, making sure it balances with the POS system and note any discrepancies. DO NOT BE SHORT!

Need you to be that Socialable person, enjoy your job, smile and have fun. Customer retention is a must.

If your Timid, Quiet and not a friendly person... This job is not for you. Smile is a must and enjoy bartending.

BARTENDER REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

* High school diploma
* 2+ years experience working as a bartender
* Must be able to lift 20-pound boxes, lift kegs and stand for an 8-hour shift
* Strong customer service, great memory, and interpersonal skills required
