POSITION SUMMARY
A Guest Experience Associate Barista is someone who provides hospitable service while crafting specialty coffee beverages for our guests and creating an excellent experience from the moment the guests enter the building till the moment they leave. The Barista may have elevated coffee knowledge and will assist with growing the coffee program and assisting management in day-to-day-operations.
Bada is a local cafe to begin the day, somewhere to spend your happiest hours and a place to wind down in the evening, surrounded by friends and community. Bada is open to both the public, as well as residents of the community it is a part of.
REPORTS TO: Senior Guest Experience Manager and Guest Experience Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Interacting with guests in a welcoming, personable, and professional manner.
- Taking orders and preparing both coffee beverages and breakfast food items.
- Present bills, accept payments, and operate the POS system.
- Ability to remain calm while listening to guest concerns and complaints.
- Restock and replenish inventory as the shift progresses.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations and procedures.
- Understanding day-to-day store operations and having keys to the facility if they are needed to open and close.
- Working closely with the Experience Managers, following their opening, and closing procedures of the coffee house while theyre absent.
- Being a rad co-worker, teammate, and leader in all situations, while remaining empowered to make decisions.
- Assuring the guests 5 senses are satisfied: good smells, clean tables, tasty drinks, great music, and a clean, vibin atmosphere.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule with daytime, and evening shifts.
- Must be 21+
- Eagerness to learn and expand on coffee knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective time management skills to manage a busy work environment. The ability to schedule and organize multiple jobs is critical.
- Ability to lift, stand, and reach for entirety of the scheduled shift.
- Ability to handle cash and manage the register.
