Evening Custodian - Eden Central School

Eden Central School is hiring a part-time (3-4 hours per evening) Custodian. Prorated benefits will apply. Works under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator and Principal. Responsible for cleaning classrooms, halls, and bathrooms. Some light snow and ice removal. Participates in job-related training, instructions, and activities. Duties may include:- Perform industrial cleaning tasks to uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards- Clean and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, and common areas- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors- Dust and sanitize surfaces- Clean windows and glass surfaces- Operate buffing machines to maintain floor appearance- Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as necessary- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities ManagerSkills:- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not required- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or collaboratively with a team- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisorsPlease note that this job description outlines primary responsibilities and qualifications.
