Summary of Job Purpose
The Food & Beverage Department is team-oriented and focused on providing our guests with excellent customer service and a pleasurable dining experience.
Food & Beverage Cashier is responsible for accurately calculating food and beverage sales while pleasantly interacting with guests in a time-sensitive manner and assisting with necessary tasks to maintain smooth operation of the dining area. Cashiers may work at the Creekside Lodge, North Fork Bistro, Grab n Go, o r Way Station ( mi d- mountain restaurant).

Under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager & Supervisors, the Food and Beverage Cashier shall be required to:
- Demonstrate an on-going commitment to delivering excellent customer service while i nteracting with guests in a courteous yet time-sensitive manner.
- Must be able to answer questions knowledgeabl y and professionally.
- Understand the Toast POS system. Accurately hand le cash and card transactions.
- Maintain the confidentiality of customer, coworker, and business-related information.
- K nowledgeable of Food and Beverage prices, product awareness, (what foods are served and offered,) as well as other services offered by Dodge Ridge .
- Consistently a ssist with stocking of all beverages, snacks and grab ‘n go items.
- K eep all dining room areas stocke d, cleaned, and tidy as needed while practicing safe food handling and cleaning procedures.
- Keep service counters clean.
- Possess or ability to possess RBS certification - standards for serving alcohol - and knowledge of company policies.
- Attentiveness to urgency as needed for proper execution of line management.
- Coordinate with other employees to effectively obtain their goals.
- Other duties as assigned, becoming cross-trained in all areas.
Job Qualifications
Basic math skills.
Ability to learn a computerized P OS system.
Good organizational skills and being a team player.
Must be well groomed and present a good public image.
Good physical condition as this position may require shoveling, lifting and carrying.
Good manual and physical dexterity skills.
Safety and risk orientated.
Requires a high level of guest service. This involves approaching guests in a courteous manner, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.
Comply with all departmental and company policies and procedures.
Ability to possess California Food Handlers Card / ServeSafe certification and RBS Certification.
Be punctual, honest, trustworthy, and practice good judgment.

Work Schedules
Weather conditions and the number of guests play a significant role in the work scheduling of employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work 6 days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you may encounter inclement weather conditions and traffic congestion.
Working Conditions
At any time during the season, Dodge Ridge employees must often perform their tasks in variable weather conditions; high winds, rain, snow, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Work is typically inside working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members , it can be noisy, cold, hot, dry, or humid. You may be expected to work in warm or cold places and often you will work around hot and cold objects.
Uniforms
A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please always wear your nametag and uniform during your scheduled shift. We will supply most of the uniform (shirt, hat and apron) for you to do your job. However, you will have to supply some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.

The ski/snowboard /MTB riding employee represents a model for safe riding for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe riding procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
