Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
This is an Overtime Eligible Manager (OEM) position with an approximate take home pay of $60,000.00 annually (based on 47.5 hours per week).
Position Overview: The Assistant Executive Housekeeper is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire housekeeping area, to include public areas and night cleaning. This requires a solid understanding of housekeeping, laundry supplies, and PARs. The successful candidate will ensure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed. Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc. is helpful. These responsibilities may also include staff training, development, and scheduling. The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will promote an atmosphere that insures customer and associate satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Create and execute procedures to assist the hotel in reaching service scores on our guest/colleague surveys. (HySat and CES). Report and collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper to resolve challenges in a timely manner.
Support the Housekeeping and Laundry Department while working closely with department managers and directors and other hotel divisions. Promote unity and teamwork throughout the department/s.
Supervise, coach and motivate the Housekeeping and Laundry Department including hourly colleagues, leads, and supervisors, towards achieving exceptional guest service results and positive colleague engagement.
Manage and perform a quarterly linen inventory to maintain accurate par levels and quality. Report to Executive Housekeeper to place an adequate order and keep tracking of the expense.
Perform daily walk-throughs in the Housekeeping and Laundry Department to ensure full compliance in health and safety of all guest and colleagues.
Handle colleague issues/prompt response time
Visibility at pre-shift and department meetings
Analyze CES results; prepare & implement action plans

Ensure new technology and equipment are embraced, improving productivity while taking work out of the system.
Provide input into the preparation and management of the department's budget.
Assign responsibilities to subordinates, implementing multi-tasking principles and to check their performance periodically.
Have a complete understanding of the different cleaning products and their economical use.
Ensure that the place of work is adequately equipped.
Assist in conducting monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies / linen.
Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to colleagues.
Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all related service, products and alternatives.
Ensure that the workplace is kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of the house.
Assist in liaising and organize with Engineering department that the established cleaning schedules are strictly adhered to.
Follow up Engineering department with pending work orders.
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Refined verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of different backgrounds.
2-3 years of progressive hotel Housekeeping experience
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset but not required
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and HotSOS
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
