Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction with food service utilizing customer service skills. Delivers and serves nutritionally-appropriate and attractive meals in a timely manner. Practices appropriate food handling techniques and food safety procedures in all aspects of job. This position will primarily have a shift time of 10:45 am - 7:15 pm. Rotating weekend shifts will also be required.
Responsibilities:
- Communicates customer complaints and concerns effectively with other team members.
- Displays customer service skills when responding to meal service requests, resulting in a satisfied customer.
- Complete any closing side work assigned.
- Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
- Adheres to department procedures regarding the operation of all food service equipment.
- Clear tables of dishes and other used items.
- Expedite food items and service customers.
- Serves meals within established timeframes, adhering to departmental standards for appearance, food quality, and temperature control.
- Receive and place food orders from customers when applicable.
- Clean, stock and maintain service station and all service areas where applicable
- Demonstrate an understanding of and proficiency with the ?Culture of Service? model.
- Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with customers.
- Engages guests using the designated department script, to include proper greeting, eye contact and smiling
