Job Summary Details:

The GMP Locker Room Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting locker rooms and adjacent gowning and transition areas within cGMP-controlled environments. This role plays a vital part in maintaining cleanroom compliance by ensuring personnel preparation areas meet stringent sanitation standards that align with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience cleaning controlled or critical environments such as pharmaceuticals, hospitals, or food production required and on the job training provided
  • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aseptic or GMP cleaning experience in locker rooms or gowning areas.
  • Familiarity with contamination control and cleanroom gowning procedures.
  • Customer service experience
  • 1 year of similar work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of GMP locker rooms, gowning areas, and transition spaces.
  • Follow aseptic and controlled-environment cleaning protocols to reduce contamination risk.
  • Replenish gowning supplies, including garments, gloves, and shoe covers, ensuring proper inventory levels.
  • Adhere strictly to cleaning schedules, logs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Safely handle and prepare cleaning solutions as per protocol.
  • Ensure trash, biohazard, and linen bins are regularly emptied and disinfected.
  • Maintain documentation of all cleaning activities and report any deviations or non-conformances.
  • Support audit readiness and participate in area walkthroughs.
  • Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, floors, benches, lockers, and donning/doffing stations.
  • Ensure changing areas are kept orderly and compliant with gowning protocols.
  • Monitor supply usage and report shortages or equipment malfunctions.
  • Follow all safety, PPE, and hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and facilities teams to ensure compliance and readiness.
