Job DetailsFootman Hospitality is looking to hire a Barback for Quality Time! Our newest neighborhood bar in Logan Square!

Our goal is simple, we're a Chicago based hospitality group that strives to create authentic dining & drinking establishments that are memorable and focus on quality.
Marked by a high level of collaboration with an array of talented hospitality professionals, each concept is unique. In 2013, after 10 years of "one off" projects, the partners formed Footman Hospitality. This was the natural evolution of the company, who now manage, brand and have expanded their unique hospitality ventures under one cohesive operation and vision.
Quality Time is that neighborhood bar you can count on. Comfortable, inclusive to all, and always a fun time. We curate a rotating cocktail list of our take on the classics we all love, a line of craft beers on tap with our favorite brewers as well as a cooler stocked with the casual favorites for any occasion. Our resident DJs will help to get the toes tapping in preparation for the crowds and candle light that help push the bass and energy late into the night, ensuring every night ends here at Quality Time.
Expectations:
The Barback is responsible, hard working & has attention to detail. They are dedicated to the systems that management has put in place. They set an example for the rest of the service team & must be representative of the kind of people we want to bring into our bars & create the vibes & culture we want to present to our guests.
In addition to your responsibilities as a bartender, this role consists of:
- Remain on task, improve their bar skills & knowledge
- Maintain & communicate bar low stock & 86 lists thru Slack
- Assist with beverage prep, glassware, cleaning, garnish
- Stocking & organizing of liquor room & beer coolers
- Daily cleanliness checklists
- Uphold rules & standards set in place by management
- Must have open availability including evenings, weekends & holidays
- Identify areas of potential improvement. Examples below:
- Changes to create a more efficient bar & well setups
- Updating side work checklists to reflect areas that need attention
- Must have a valid Food Handler & BASSET Certificate prior to start date. Certified Beer Server/Cicerone is a plus!
Compensation: Hourly ($12.62) plus tips
