The Server is an integral member of the team, ensuring every dish and beverage is delivered with accuracy, professionalism, and warmth. This role is responsible for guiding guests through an exceptional dining experience by showcasing expert-level menu knowledge, anticipating needs, and maintaining precision in execution. Candidates must be willing to work five days a week (40+ hours per week). Open availability is preferred.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of daily reservations, People of Note (PONs), dietary restrictions, and guest preferences through pre-service meetings
Set up server and runner stations, as well as designated kitchen, bar, or side stations
Run all food and beverages to the dining room (training as a Food Runner is required)
Greet guests and deliver a warm, professional experience from start to finish
Maintain complete knowledge of all menus, including ingredients and culinary techniques
Explain dishes with accuracy and enthusiasm as needed
Anticipate and respond promptly to guest and management needs
Execute coffee service, proper table clearing, and table maintenance
Ensure mastery of menu markings and proper service sequences
Accomplish assigned side work throughout the shift
Uphold standards set by Chefs and Managers while training new team members
Take direction from Chefs, Expo, and FOH leadership
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers
Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of experience as a food runner, back server, front server, or related FOH role
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to carry trays with food and/or drinks
- Thrives in a fast-paced, chef-driven environment
- Collaborative team member with the ability to take direction and stay composed under pressure
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for 8+ hours per shift
Able to lift, move, or pull up to 35 lbs
Able to climb stairs multiple times per shift
Able to carry a full tray with either hand
