Service and Repair Technician I

Shift: 1st Shift

Education Required: High School Diploma/GED

• 1 to 1 1/2 years of experience in past positions
• Small electronic assembly experience
• Recent graduate from tech school or high school
• Proficient in computer usage
• Technical knowledge

• Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
• Identify parts for replacement and machines that need new parts; place orders as necessary.

• May require completion of an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
• 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Works under general supervision.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
