Janitor Custodian / Handy Man for Cannabis facilities

We are seeking a self-motivated, highly trustworthy, and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in our state-licensed cannabis cultivation facility. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment in a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and deep cleaning of cultivation rooms, hallways, break areas, restrooms, and administrative areas.
Sanitize surfaces, tools, and equipment to support biosecurity and plant health.
Remove and dispose of waste, including plant material and packaging, in compliance with local cannabis regulations.
Maintain janitorial supplies and alert management when inventory needs restocking.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or irregularities promptly.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain cleaning logs and documentation as required for compliance audits.
Work independently and proactively to identify areas that require attention without being instructed.
Adhere to strict confidentiality regarding facility operations and proprietary practices.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a cannabis cultivation facility or similar agricultural/horticultural environment is required.
Prior janitorial or sanitation experience preferred; experience in a regulated facility (food, pharmaceutical, or cannabis) is a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated high level of trustworthiness and reliability.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Comfortable working in an environment with strict hygiene protocols.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and recordkeeping requirements.
Must be 21+ and eligible for any state or local cannabis worker permits.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in warm, humid environments typical of grow rooms.
