A Line Cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding service. We are looking for line cooks to become part of our Piper Restaurant and Banquet team.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.50/hr - $25.00/hr. This is the pay range for this position that The Seabird Resort reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly pay rate will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness.
  • Comply with food sanitation standards and ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment.
  • Uphold all standards of kitchen hygiene.
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
  • Stock and maintain designated food stations.
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items.
  • Exceptional cooking skills
  • 2 years in culinary experience, hospitality preferred
  • Foster and uphold a culture of respect, learning and positivity amongst all colleagues
  • Ability to effectively manage the kitchen staff, motivate them and assign duties fairly
  • Familiarity with the best practices in the hotel and catering
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to lift push and pull 50 lbs.
