You'll present five wines throughout the evening, pouring tastings for the group while delivering scripted paragraphs that poetically compare the wine's characteristics to musical elementssuch as matching the wine's tasting notes to musical notes, terroir (soil and climate influences) to a musical corollary like the artist's origins or style evolution, flavors to sounds or beats, and grape varieties to music genres. The performance should be engaging, humorous, and immersive, blending education with entertainment to create a memorable sensory experience. Key Responsibilities: Arrive in character as a sophisticated sommelier (attire: formal, perhaps with a bow tie or wine-themed accessory; we can provide props like a tasting notebook). Present each wine bottle, pour samples, and read a provided paragraph aloud while background music plays to enhance the pairing. Interact lightly with guests, answering simple questions in character (e.g., improvise fun facts if needed, but stick to the script for pairings). Manage the flow: Start with the sparkling wine as an opener, progress through white, rose, and reds, allowing time for sipping and discussion between each. Duration: 1 - 1.5 hours, including setup and mingling. Requirements: Acting experience, ideally in interactive roles like improv, theater, or event hosting.
