General Duties
Welcomes and helps seat customers
Presents Hey Nonny drink and food menu options, answers questions, and makes suggestions.
Accepts orders from customers and inputs them accurately into the POS system; discusses any special items, needs or issues with kitchen staff.
Inquires about any potential allergies or sensitivities and records (POS) and reports responses for kitchen staff.
Serves customers food and beverages; makes make sure that food is prepared and delivered accurately.
Thanks patrons and invites them back for future dining.
Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
Totals bill and accepts payment.
Clears or resets tables as needed.

Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Significant prior hospitality service.
Valid Illinois Basset Card
Valid Food Handling Certificate
Sexual Harassment Training Certificate (completed Annually)

Pay Rate
$9.00 plus share of pooled tips (2025 Minimum Hourly Wage including tips = $15.00)
Note: Tip Pooling. In Hey Nonnys unique operation as a combined bistro and music venue, to provide the best service, multiple servers, bartenders and bussers may assist the same customer. To facilitate that service by multiple Hey Nonny workers, including moving checks from the Bistro to the Venue, management and employees together have determined that pooling tips is the best way to fairly pay employees and provide the best customer service.
Individual Daily Server Tips are Calculated as follows:
Total Daily Tip Pool Amount = Total tips collected from all servers and bartenders during operational hours (hours open to the public) less busser tip-out of 3% of net sales.
Individual Server Share = Total individual bartender hours worked during operational hours/total hours worked by all servers and bartenders during operational hours.
Individual Daily Bartender Tips = Total Daily Tip Pool Amount multiplied by the Individual Server Share.
