PREP Cook

Minimum of 2 years of prep cook experience - if you do not have the experience, you will be sent home without pay.

A Prep Cook is a vital member of a kitchen team, responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly.

Job Duties:

  • Ingredient Preparation: Wash, chop, slice, and prepare various ingredients according to established recipes and portion sizes.

Recipe Preparation: Assist in preparing components of dishes or entire dishes, following standardized recipes and instructions provided by the chef or kitchen manager.

Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, and informing management of items running low.

Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including storage areas and refrigeration units, to ensure efficient food preparation.

Adherence to Standards: Ensure that all food preparation meets quality and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and storage procedures.

Assistance During Service: Support the kitchen team during service hours by replenishing ingredients, ensuring stations are well-stocked, and assisting with cooking tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:
