Job Description:
Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas of heath care facility. Cleans hard floors and carpets using various types of equipment. Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility. May also perform room set up within the facility.
Principle Responsibilities
- Cleans hard floors and carpets throughout the facility.
- Utilizes large auto scrubber and buffer machines to maintain hard floors.
- Cleans and vacuums carpets to eliminate the build up of soil and stains.
- Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas of heath care facility.
- Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms, operating rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, care centers and public areas.
- Cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, emptying trash, changing bed linen, vacuuming, operating auto scrub machine to clean floors and others.
- Potential and actual safety hazards are identified and reported.
- Reports building items, furnishings, and equipment in need of repair or replacement.
- May perform room set up within the facility.
- May transport items such as tables, chairs and other items to locations of events.
- Collects and transports solid and infectious waste within the health care facility.
- Utilizes hospital equipment and supplies in a safe and effective manner.
- Keeps cleaning cart organized, clean and stocked.
- Keeps cleaning closets organized and clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 to 2 years of hard floor or carpet cleaning experience
- 0 to 2 years of environmental services experience
Physical Demands
- Medium Work:
- Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently
Pay Range
Pay Range: $20.71 to $26.56 per hour The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.Benefit Summary
