Correctional Supervising Cook, Cf

and Duties

Under the direction of the Supervising Correctional Cook - CF (SCC). The Correctional Supervising Cook (CSC) will be responsible for the coordination, production, and the preparation of meals. Will directly supervise incarcerated persons in the food preparation of meals. Will directly supervise the proper dispensing of food; will enforce sanitation policies and procedures for equipment and food preparation areas. Instruct and reinforce the application of safety standards for incarcerated persons. Set the highest standards of expectations in all aspects of food preparation and application. Will be responsible for enforcing safety standards for all incarcerated persons. Maintain accurate records of the incarcerated person time cards, time sheets, and 101's. All staff will have their State ID card, key chits, whistle, thermometer, pen, and note pad in their possession while on duty. Regardless of classification, all staff are responsible for documenting any acts of incarcerated person misconduct and the enforcement on the California Code of Regulations: Title 15. All staff are responsible to do everything possible to prevent an incarcerated persons from escaping.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
