About the roles
New independent cafe in Downtown LA (opening soon) is hiring two experienced baristas. This is a coffee-forward bar with high espresso volume plus light food portioning and sandwich assembly. Discreet posting; full details shared at interview.

Shifts (MonFri; occasional event weekends)

Part-time: 8:00 AM 1:00 PM

Full-time: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM with a 1-hour unpaid meal 10:3011:30

Pay & start

$19.00/hr to start + tips

Performance review & raise after a 90-day probation period

Target start: late Aug / early Sept 2025

Sick time provided per CA law; shift drink/meal

What youll do

Dial-in espresso; pull consistent shots; steam/texture milk; build drinks quickly and cleanly

Portion ingredients, assemble sandwiches to spec, restock line; follow food-safety standards

Keep bar & prep areas spotless; POS; warm guest hospitality

What were looking for

12+ years barista experience in a busy setting (or equivalent speed/skill)

Confident with dialing-in, milk texture, drink building, and cleanliness

Basic food-prep skills; follows portion specs and health code

Reliable, on time, team-minded; can lift ~30 lb and stand for long periods

LA County Food Handler Card (or willing to obtain within 30 days)
