Janitor Job Description The Maintenance role is pivotal in ensuring that the premises, including offices and warehouse areas, are kept clean and orderly both inside and outside. Responsibilities Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. Clean and maintain common areas, bathrooms, the kitchen, and office spaces. Ensure the parking area, entrance, and building windows are clean. Collect and dispose of debris and trash from the warehouse, ensuring cleanliness both inside and outside. Empty trash cans for proper disposal. Clean windows using appropriate detergents and equipment. Handle chemical cleaners properly to prevent damage to floors and other objects. Use company cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, and detergents. Follow the cleaning schedule established by the immediate supervisor. Monitor and notify management of deficiencies or necessary repairs. Maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and materials needed for daily tasks and notify the supervisor for essential purchases. Perform other tasks and special projects related to the position as requested. Essential Skills Ability to perform general cleaning tasks using cleaning equipment and tools. Effective communication skills with co-workers and management. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in cleaning and handyman tasks. Basic English proficiency sufficient for communication with the facilities manager. Skills in plumbing, janitorial duties, preventive maintenance, repair, mechanical work, and facilities maintenance.
