POSITION SUMMARY
The Server will be responsible for supporting the dining room Captain, taking orders, maintaining the dining room, serving beverages and helping the guest make informed decisions. In this role, the server is expected to use their skills and knowledge to provide a dining experience that exceeds expectations.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver a high-quality food and beverage dining experience to all guests.
- Recommend menu offerings and communicate orders to bar and kitchen by recording guest choices, dietary needs and special requests.
- Take drink and dessert orders.
- Assist the Captain with coursing and table setting.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant before, during and after service.
- Complete all assigned side work relevant to interactive guest service in compliance with the 80/20 rules.
- Consistently report to scheduled shifts on time.
- Any other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Minimum of 2 years as a Server in an upscale. High volume restaurant required
- Posses and exhibit a drive to provide exceptional service
- Ability to communicate effectively and eloquently, both verbal and written, collaboration skills with demonstrated high degree of emotional intelligence to manage and lead a diverse team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs at times.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the work area and property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
- Climbing steps regularly
- Prolonged periods standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is minimum wage and a tip credit is taken when applicable. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
